TRANSPORT SAFETY

The fight against cargo crime

We increase the safety of our transports by proactively checking the entire transport chain. A transport safety concept developed together with an automotive customer prevents transport losses. This concept includes a comprehensive risk analysis and measures to increase transport safety in terms of cargo space, driver, vehicle fleet and handling. Potential transport losses are recorded in a special tool for monitoring purposes. In conjunction with our in-house carrier management, this ensures transparency.

As a TAPA member, we take part in regular training sessions and have access to the growing database of secure lorry parks as well as information on the types of crime in the supply chain, the locations of incidents and the modus operandi of criminals. These are helpful tools for our security officer to protect against cargo theft.

In order to monitor and optimise compliance with these processes, our safety officer is in constant contact with our customers and all those involved in the process. Our TAPA membership is an essential part of this security concept, as it enables us to undergo regular training and exchange experiences internationally. The sum of all these measures has already led to significant success in the fight against cargo crime, especially in high-risk countries:

  • Separate selection, qualification and training of drivers and carriers
  • Seamless monitoring of the cargo hold with GPS
  • Monitoring of vulnerable transports and consignments by certified detective agencies
  • Unannounced interface checks at selected truck stops
  • Customised IT for rapid identification and evaluation of losses
  • Special technical equipment for lorries
We would also be happy to analyse your supply chain and work with you to develop a customised security concept for securing loads in your company.
